How To Decide Who to Marry: By Kids By: Salma Rumman Kids Contemplate Marriage. How would you make your marriage work? Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck. Ricky, age 10 How can a stranger tell if two people are married? You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids. Derrick, age 8 What do you think your mom and dad have in common? Both don’t want any more kids. Lori, age 8 What do most people do on a date? Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough. Lynnette, age 8 (isn’t she a treasure?)
On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date. Martin, age 10 What would you do on a first date that was turning sour? I’d run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns. Craig, age 9 When is it okay to kiss someone? When they’re rich. Pam, age 7 The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn’t want to mess with that. Curt, age 7
The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It’s the right thing to do. Howard, age 8 What is the right age to get married? Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then. Camille, age 10
No age is good to get married at. You got to be a fool to get married. Freddie, age 6 (very wise for his age) Is it better to be single or married? I don’t know which is better, but I’ll tell you one thing. I’m never going to have sex with my wife. I don’t want to be all grossed out. Theodore, age 8
It’s better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them. Anita, age 9 (bless you child) How do you decide whom to marry? You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming. Alan, age 10
No person really decides before they grow up who they’re going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you’re stuck with. Kristen, age 10
i'm not your shiny porcelain i'm not your china doll don't make a fool of me don't set me up to fall i have not her shiny eyes nor her porcelain skin i have not her silky hair nor am i willowy thin i have heart and soul a body that's whole i have curves and tears a presence that's real i don't sit on walls and watch you weep instead i stay awake watching you sleep i'm not your china doll shining in the light i'm not graceful at all nor am i very bright i am not your beautiful doll keeping all in thrall i'm only me but you are blind to see... =jc= p.s. this is dedicated to all women out there, moms, wifes, sisters, daughters...etc
i got this from http://reddevil00.multiply.com/ i think it's really good. 5 lessons about the way we treat people. 1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady
During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one:
"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name?
I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade.
"Absolutely, " said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say "hello."
I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.
2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain
One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960's. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab.
She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached. It read: "Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away... God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others."
Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole.
3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.
"How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked.
"Fifty cents," replied the waitress.
The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it.
"Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired.
By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient. "Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied.
The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.
The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the able. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies.
You see, he couldn't' t have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.
4 - Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping! the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand!
Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.
5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts
Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare &serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister.
I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all d id, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded.
He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away".
Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.
i've been spendin' way too long checkin' my tongue in the mirror and bendin' over backwards just to try to see it clearer my breath fogged up the glass and so I drew a new face and laughed... ...(jason mraz - i'm yours) ~^_^~

GARO "Where there is light, shadows lurk and fear reigns... yet by the blade of Knights, mankind was given hope..."—Ward Sexton "Demonic Horrors that lurk in the darkness... Demons that hate, that feed upon mankind... There was a time when humans lived in fear of these fiends from the shadows... But mankind receieved a ray of hope... The light of hope that was the Makai Knights... The demon hunters, the protectors of mankind... Thus, they were exalted by humanity..."
recently, we (him and i) just finished this series on Knights and Monsters....sort of like ultraman and that sort which i actually really dislike...(when i first saw it i was like, blek! u watch urself la...) but surprisingly this was very different...this is more matured and is targeted at adults... the first episode immediately washed away all my skeptisms... IT WAS ACTUALLY VERY GOOD! the episodes were all very creative, and you could see that the makers put alot of thought into creating each scene... it is not at all like those typical ultraman/masked riders series...it actually felt more like i was watching a japanese drama...wowieee, i was sooo impressed...^_^ n i couldn't stop watching it after that...kekekekke.... synopsis: GARO focuses on the life of Kouga Saejima, who assumed the title of Makai Knight to protect humanity against dark demonic manifestations called "Horrors." In his quest to purge them, he encounters a young girl named Kaoru whom he saved from a Horror, but was stained with its demonic blood. As a rule, those that been stained by the blood of a Horror shall be cut down, or else they will die painfully in approximately 100 days. Kouga had mercy upon her and tries to find a way to purify her before her remaining time expires. Thus, the series focuses on Kouga's developing relationship with Kaoru and his stand in protecting humanity after the wishes of his father, who was his predecessor with the title of GARO. cast: Ryōsei Konishi as Kouga Saejima/Golden Fang GARO Mika Hijii as Kaoru Mitsuki Ray Fujita as Rei Suzumura/Silver Fang ZERO Yukijirou Hotaru as Gonza Mina Fukui as Asami Hironobu Kageyama as Zaruba (voice) Ai Orikasa as Sliva (voice) Kenichi Ogata as Goruba (voice) Masaki Kyomoto as Ryuuzaki Karune/Barago/Dark Fang KIBA Kimika Yoshino as Garuma Mark Musashi as Kodama Yasue Sato as Jabi the Makai Priest Alisa Yuriko Durbrow as Shizuka Hiroyuki Watanabe as Taiga Saejima/Golden Fang GARO the realm of Garo Makai Knights Makai Knights (aka Magic Knights) each have their own set of armor and abilities that are unique to themselves, but all carry a Madougu as an advisor and Horror detector. This armor is passed down generations, or from master to apprentice. No Makai Knight can stay in the armored form for more than 99.9 seconds. If this time limit is surpassed, the armor starts to burn its wearer. This is because the armor is made of Soul Metal, something that only trained people can use at all, such as Makai Knights or Makai Priests. Too much contact with Soul Metal, even for trained wearers, can be fatal, as Soul Metal burns away normal human flesh on contact and is tougher than any other metal due to its magical properties. Their weapons are also made of Soul Metal. They can summon mystical armored horses, possess lighters that emit spiritual flames to help detect Horrors, and can use Madou flames to encompass their bodies, along with weapons to increase damage potential. Makai Knights must be able to control their emotions and their yin and yang. If there is an overwhelming amount of yin (darkness) when the time limit is surpassed, demonic powers start to take over the Knight, giving him tremendous power, but turning him into a monster and eating his body away in return if the process is not stopped in time. Only Kouga & Barago dared this step, though while Kouga was snapped out it in time, Barago absorbed a Horror to assume his current state. Makai Knights is also known to be a family affair. Makai Knights and Priests are known come a long traditional lineage of family names. Already known is the Yamagatana and the Saejima family line, but new non-traditional members practice the Makai ways as well. Adopted orphans such as Rei Suzumura have joined among the ranks of Makai Knights without a bloodline lineage. However those that come from a traditional line are known to be documented in Makai books for information purposes. Makai Priests Their role is to create anti-Horror devices, spells, and weapons to support the Makai Knights. Makai Priests possess a vast knowledge of spells and purification techniques. Like Chinese Tao Masters, they have seals for spells, a brush to write a seal, are trained in martial arts, and have prefabricated devices used to defend or attack. A Makai Priest is fully capable of handling Horrors, but their role is to only aid the Knights and keep equipment maintained for a Makai Knight. The priests provide a sentient Madou Jewelry (like Zaruba and Silva) to advise and detect Horrors for the Knights. Watchdogs They are the middle-persons behind the works of the war between Makai and Horror. It is they who usually detect Horrors and inform the Makai Knight of their missions. The Makai Knights are usually informed by a letter called "Orders Document" that's mailed to them. Watchdogs have no real control over Makai Knights, but they have been involved in directing the actions of the Makai for centuries. They help purify the Knights' weapons, refuel their Madou Fire Lighters, and send the spirits of the defeated Horrors (in the form of small daggers) back to their realm. Whenever they collect up to a dozen blades they will send the blades back into the demon realm. The story suggests there are many groups of watchdogs existing and directing the Makai's will, and one was originally human. That very human splintered her form and adressed to GARO as three cherubim-like girls who, though having the appearance of young teenagers, are technically centuries old. for more info on the Realm of Garo, click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realm_of_GARO p.s..... it's damn cool wei.... *grin*

      i want! i want! i want! i want a panda dog~! T.T
one word - wow... i'm a fan of his songs...but i had my doubts when i heard that he acted and directed this... (remember initial d and his typical blur blur looks?)....well, i thought it was going to be more of the same, so i didn't bother going to the cinemas for this. instead, i bought the dvd.... and boy, was i wrong... maybe because i had no expectations for this, so i truly enjoyed it... the entire message was well played throughout the show, you wouldn't have guessed the ending.... very poignant, very sweet..nothing complicated, a simple love story with a twist...very touching... beautiful in it's simplicity...

directed by the acclaimed ANG LEE who brought you Brokeback Mountain and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon....
ok..first..i admit, i went to watch the movie mainly because of WangLiHom...XD but he looked....erm....kinda wrong....sigh...but ok la, he managed to somehow, somewhat pull the character off... seriously though... it was an interesting portrayal of the Japanese Occupation in China during those times (based on what i read in books -lah)... but.....this is another movie which had me and B (and the rest of the cinema) snickering and smirking AND giggling from start till end...=P forgive me if i sound unappreciative of 'art' and 'theatrics'....but it just all seemed a tad too overdone....it was real but there were plenty of moments where it just got too corny and you could feel that burst of giggles fighting its' way up from your tummy... *grin* scenes to look out for (read: scenes to laugh at)... ps. spoilers ahead... 1. all the eye contact moments between tony leung and tang wei... (apparently you are meant to read in-between the lines whenever they look at each other) 2. the part in the cafe where they seduce each others with 'smoky' eye glances and ciggarette smoking...(ROFL~!) 3. the part where tang wei starts singing in the jap restaurant...(~omg) 4. the end where tony leung sort of superman-flies into the car...(sorry, i found this hilarious) actually the movie was ok...the parts where they recreated history and stuff were convincing.... but somehow the chemistry between tangwei n tony leung were just.....funny-la...esp. when they try so incredibly hard to seduce each other... XD i wasn't the only one feeling this way, B too felt the same...and i think the rest of the cinema as well...for throughout the movie, there were very obvious bursts of laughters from a group of ladies on the left.... as well as snickers and sarcastic comments from our neighbour.... and suppressed giggles from the row in front.... (i think everyone really tried their best to appreciate the art sense of the movie....but...lol.. CONCLUSION - a diamond is all it takes to win a lady's heart... watch it if you're alone... if there's two or more of you, save your $ and buy the dvd la... blek~!

XD guaranteed laughs from the beginning till the very end... hilarious, cliched and extremely funny... though whether you're laughing from the humor or at the movie itself will be very hard to decide... -_-" (or maybe i found it hilarious cause i was expecting a horror movie) btw... check out their website to get an idea of what to expect... http://www.blacksheep-themovie.com/ think of it as a combination of kindergarten humor + really gross scenes + mary's little lamb + hannibal lecter + chinese fengshui + acupuncture + resident evil + luna lovegood (from harry potter) + irrational phobias + evil brothers + psycho ladies in white coats + holistic inclinations.... if you think this is a weird combination, watch it to believe it! (^_^)v p.s. i'm still recovering from all the 'zhar tou' moments resulting from the movie.... (english translation = the ''what the heck?!'' moments) pps. i'm not being sarcastic.. i reaaallly meant it when i say it's a must watch! LOL~! BTW....i AM being a teeeny weeeeny bit sarcastic~! XD
